More Variety in abilities and combat styles?
I know its a demo and only certain things are available, i just hope on release there will be alot more variety. The one campaign i played, it felt like we were all the same character. We all threw fireballs we all had similar stats (attributes) which didnt seem to matter too much, (More of a DM problem) I personally just didnt feel unique for my own character, granted I only leveled once and didnt really branch out and we only did like 3 fights. My thought process in this game i thought there was going to be healers, tanks, rogues, wizards whatnot. but it just feels like we are all wizards with different backstorys.

I would be interested in seeing more combat styles and how they mix to make unique blends as characters level up. Three additional combat styles stand out to me as filling some important combat functions:
1) Damage dealing melee style - A secondary melee style increasing damage potential instead of the blocking effect and other defensive considerations. Perhaps hitting multiple targets or applying some sort of damage-over-time effects. Consider rogue like play mechanics.
2) Support style - Provide buffs like giving advantage dice to teammates and lesser healing-over-time healings effects to give another style of healing. Consider performer style mechanics.
3) Pet style - Everyone loves pets both biological and mechanic. Maybe having them run away when they are hurt because that is the one lost too tragic for me. Consider druid or inventor like mechanics.
Great job so far. Looking forward to even more. -

Joey AdminI'm going to mark this as Planned, but there's a caveat.
We'll absolutely be adding more combat styles and such over time, but this is our launch set as we get closer to this summer. Give us some time, though! We'll be adding more, for sure. -

Stockweaver AdminLove these thoughts and hope we can continue to develop our level up systems! At this stage you can cross-level so you're not limited to one type, and there is a lot of customization you can do with equipping and unequipping abilities.
That said, three archetypes is pretty limiting when we have 10+ skills, spells, and classes :)) Yay PET STYLE
